The Island

Pine Island is a beautiful 8-acre island, with an adjacent ¼ acre “Little Pine Island”. The island rises 80 feet above the St. Lawrence River affording spectacular views from the grounds and every room and window in the main house.

Pine Island has beautiful granite outcroppings, fields of grass and flowers, a hemlock grove, and a wide variety of mature impressive trees. There are many places to relax and enjoy the views.

The Docks

There are 4 covered deep water docks for docking boats and fishing. There are two additional uncovered docks. Extensive decks and picnic tables provide areas to gather, eat, or lounge.

The dock complex also includes a Dock House which sleeps up to four. The Dock House has an adjacent half bath and a private outside shower. The docks are well lit which makes navigating to Pine Island straightforward, even at night.

Transportation

Pine Island is, of course, an island. There is no public transportation to Pine Island. There is a private “water taxi” service in the area. Boat rentals are also offered nearby on the mainland.

When you want dinner out, sightseeing, or a shopping trip, Pine Island is about a 7-minute boat ride from mainland Clayton. Pine Island will have a slip available at Northern Marine on the mainland, where you can leave your car during your time on the island.  There are town docks in Clayton NY and most other towns on The River for visitors.
